Inside the Triangle and Family (gardening) Sunday - 19th May

Sunday May 19th is the Inside the Triangle event involving Stag Works, Portland Works and us 11-9pm. It is also one of our monthly Family Sundays when the theme is gardening. We have Mud Kitchen, strawberry planting, guerilla gardening, talks about bees from Sheffield Honey Co and the usual lovely feeding and watering available at the Harland Cafe.

Guerilla Gardening Inside the Triangle - Sunday May 19th

Our May 19th Family Sunday event is going to be part of a much larger event as Harland Works joins forces with our two neighbouring buildings, Stag Works and Portland Works, for a mamouth opening up. With all day music from local bands, open workshops and heritage tours there will be lots going on as well as our normal Family activities - and this month its all about gardening. We've just finished curating a fabulous list of films made by Sheffield children, families and one school to show in our make shift cinema at our film event on Sunday 24th. The titles give you an idea of the range of topics covered - 'The Girl with the World in her Hair' or  'Dalek Birthday Party'  anyone?

We've loved shortlisting the films, and hope you'll love watching them! Plus, our flyer for the event is now ready - pdf version here. Please pass it on to any budding film makers you know and who knows what it could get started...

You don’t need a garden to be a gardener... 

Bring a container to plant up, make a soup box, and help us plant a strawberry wall! Plus - bring your unwanted seeds and plants to swap.

Sun 16 June Sound Sculpture 

Fill our spaces with sound...

Explore the science of sound and help us make some noisy shapes from unusual objects (contributions of noisy objects welcome – please bring them along!).

Sun 28 July Make a Play in a Day 

Is it possible? 

Sheffield’s lovely Growtheatre are recruiting actors, scene painters, costume designers and prop makers to create a promenade performance. Join us to find out what’s possible with a bit of collaboration.

He is good with mountain bikes, road bikes, cross bikes, commuter, shoppers and probably unicycles too and very reasonably priced.
